A novel tracing technology based on CQD fluorescent nanomaterials
GaStim®Trace
Tracer techniques have been used in the Oil and Gas industry since the mid 1950´s to monitor reservoir fluids movement and connectivity between injector and producer wells. Tracers are also used to quantify remaining oil saturation by Single-Well Chemical Tracer Tests (SWCTTs) and Partitioning Inter-Well Tracer Tests (PITTs).
GaStim®Trace is an innovative tracing technology based on the injection of organic fluorescent nanomaterials for the deployment of cost-effective tracer programs in water or gas injection schemes. It provides quick access to multiple measured data sets and is a green, efficient, and novel alternative to chemical or radioactive tracer applications.
GaStim®Trace
Carbon Quantum
Dots Nano Tracers
GaStim®Trace technology is an integral tracing technique based on gas or water dispersible tracer agents composed by Carbon Quantum Dots – CQD.
GaStim®TraceCQD nano tracers are highly compatible with reservoir fluids and exhibit minimum retention in reservoir rocks which make them economical and easy to track and analyze.
GaStim®TraceCQD tracers are non-toxic, non-pollutant and have been tested superior than traditional flourobenzoic derivates. This makes them an excellent option as green and cost-effective inter-well tracers for the oil and gas industry.
GaStim®Traceis a novel tracing technology with the following advantages:
Non-toxic to human health, not pollutant to the environment
Increased sampling frequency allowing better control of breakthrough times
Shortened time for samples analytics for promt adjustment of water or gas injection programs
Applicable in EOR, single well stimulation and Huff and Puff schemes
