While gas injection is one of the most effective mechanisms of Enhanced Oil Recovery in different types of reservoirs, its effectiveness is negatively impacted by the reservoir’s heterogeneity, and the viscosity and density contrasts between reservoir liquids and injected gases. Therefore, channeling and gas overriding reduce the gas injection efficiency impairing the oil recovery, and thus the economics of gas-based injection projects

GaStim®Div

GaStim®Div is a gas dispersible foam technology allowing significant simplifications in the operation logistics at higher cost-efficiencies for the deployment of foams in well productivity and EOR gas injection-based projects.

GaStim®Div clearly overcomes the disadvantage of limited reservoir contacted volume associated with the conventional SAG foam technique. GaStim®Div is specially designed to be deployed by the GaStim® technique to reach an optimal placement zone far from the wellbore (50+ ft). This allows longer treatment durability, higher chemical adsorption, and lesser product degradation due to shear effects normally present at the near wellbore.
